Nike “On Air” is the annual the Swoosh brand contest allowing independent creators from around the world to reinterpret the iconic Nike models in their own style. Artist Yuta Takuman draws inspiration from his hometown to bring this version of the Nike Air Max 1 to life, named Tokyo Maze. The city of Tokyo is known for its dense population and subway lines crisscrossing the entire city. Inspired by these visions, this silhouette features a black and white two-tone upper. The straight lines blend together to create a true maze. Both shoes in the pair mirror each other like two sides of the same coin. In terms of details, this Nike Air Max 1 Tokyo Maze sports a special “Nike Tokyo” tag on the tongue and multicolored laces. The whole design sits atop a red Air sole.
