The retro silhouette, very popular in Moscow, adopts for the occasion a design inspired by the city's architecture. The Nike Air Max 90 Moscow features an upper made of suede leather and mesh. The use of the Smoke Grey colorway refers to the shades of local buildings, while touches of reflective 3M on the mesh add a futuristic touch. The red and blue accents, meanwhile, are a nod to Moscow's nightlife. Finally, the inscriptions "speed" and "city" in Russian are embossed on the lateral parts of the pair.
